From Pain (Poem by Mark Swift)

Just as leaves turn Red before Fall,
As Gold refines through the Flames,
Beauty comes from Trials,
And Bravery thus from Pain.
So do I really want a Life
Filled with Prosperity?
If so, what shall I become?

    1. Keep your grief and pain buried for several years, suffer from a traumatic event, and then have nightmares reawaken your greatest fears, and you tend to get enough raw emotion to make good poems :P

    4. Hi, Mark. This is beautiful and I love the imagery you provided with the leaves and gold. I'm with Gabby, this is one of my favorites by you. Oh, and I like the use of questions. It makes one wonder about them self and makes it relatable. Again, this is really pretty. Anyway, I hope you feel better and everything is okay.
