READER OF THE MONTH
This was hard. Very hard. Eventually, I settled on making themes for each month. This month's theme is loyalty, and that makes things easier.
This cancels out Solus Lupa, Sam, Shaly, Lucy, and Riddle (sorry guys; you can get up there eventually! Just might take some time). I'm also going to say anonymous comments are not counted, which, combined with what I've already established, removes Gabby from the competition.
This left me with Marysa and Kyra competing for the win, and after much consideration, I chose Kyra.
Marysa is an awesome reader, and she's been active, which is really cool, but she and Kyra were both around since pretty much the beginning (although I don't think Marysa commented quite as early). Furthermore, Marysa has been very useful in the development of this blog.
But I chose Kyra because she was probably my first reader ever, and was definitely commenting long before anyone else. So, congrats, Kyra! But don't let it go to your head; the next theme is chosen, and it won't be so easy for you to win.
POST OF THE MONTH
The post of the month was not any less difficult. In the end, I chose the Lark Adventures because of how much of a hit it was! Plus, it's extremely creative: it's more like a script than a short story or poem, which is really cool, and it is a script that can easily be adapted for use in a play, if needed. That really appealed to me. Plus, the comedy was outstanding, and simply great. I was a little lost as to who Lark really was, but I got so much of his (or her?) character that I didn't really care.
Looking Ahead
Again, it was so hard to choose one reader and one post to place in this; in the future, I may be able to cover all the readers, and I dearly hope I do, but posts? I will never cover them all! I've already got enough for more than 2 years, and I'm going to only get more and more!
I will end with this: January Poll is open! Vote for your favorite Watching Time character now!
Also, the contest this month is for the best HAIKU! You heard me, Haiku! VERY original, am I right? Anyhow, post your submission(s) under the contests page! You may have a total of 3 submissions! I will use a Khan Academy Program that I design to randomly pick a total of 3 Haikus. My favorite of the three will be chosen as the victor! (Once you post a Haiku, it's entered, so be careful of what you post!) Hypothetically, if you're really lucky, you might get all 3 of your poems up there and get an automatic win, but I roll twice: first for author, second for poem, so you'd have to get really lucky. Good luck!

-sigh- There's always a Haiku contest...
ReplyDeleteyay! I won!
ReplyDeleteIt was close, Marysa. Good game. :)
DeleteYes, but like I said, don't let it go to your head. I just chose loyalty because I was more pressed for time, and I was lazy. When choosing winners, I rarely feel lazy, so it will not be nearly as easy for you :)
DeleteWhatever you have to tell yourself (;

Lol I was only anonymous because I couldn't figure out how to get my name on here, (Ik probs super easy to do) but I couldn't figure it out, mainly because I couldn't remember my Google password :P
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats Kyra! Totally well deserved!
Yayyyy I'll tell Al about this! They'll be really excited to know this!
Lol Doesn't change the past!
DeleteAl is super creative!
Yeah yeah XD
DeleteCongratulations, Kyra! That's awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really liked reading the Lark Adventures, especially since I can imagine the dynamic clearly with one of my own cats (if cats could speak); it was really funny, so congrats to Al as well!
Aww. Thanks guys. :)
ReplyDeleteKay so my haiku are as follows;
ReplyDeleteRibbon
Red like sacred blood
Soft like the hand-woven silk
Tying knots in life
How Much Love
How do I love you?
Romeo and Juliet
Can’t even compare
Sea Turtle
Gliding on water
Peaceful under the surface
Is where I belong
...you're a fan of skimming instructions, aren't you? Lol I don't blame you, I do that, too XD
DeleteIt says to post them under the contests page. I'll go ahead and do that for you, I just want to make sure it's all in one place
Ugh whatever I'm too excited to follow directions rn
DeleteExcited, hmm...? Lol I suppose I'm sure to hear of it via NaNo Mail XD
