Unrequited Love (Poem by Marysa Writes)

We began on a whim, a single moment in time when my lonely met your desire. I was not looking for love, but lust has a funny way of transforming into unexpected stories with an advancing plot. The details of your book made their way into my heart, spreading themselves onto the blank pages in my mind. The emotions grew through me like a disease, tumors in my being. My attraction was lethal, the holes left me spilling affection onto your blank canvas. I was not looking for love and I guess you weren’t either.
