What I'd Give (Poem by Mark Swift)

Oh, what I'd give,
To hear your voice
One last time,
To hear you laugh
Once again.
Oh, what I'd give,
To see you now
A final time,
To see you smile
That rare smile.
Oh, what I'd give,
for one last chance
to make you happy,
Or a chance to
say I'm sorry.

    1. You're going to make me cry with all these poems. This one is beautiful, again. I don't know how you do it.

    2. Here's what I told Marysa: "Keep your grief and pain buried for several years, suffer from a traumatic event, and then have nightmares reawaken your greatest fears, and you tend to get enough raw emotion to make good poems :P"
But thanks, I appreciate it; I'm not sure I'm as good as you claim, but the compliments are fun :D

  2. This is so beautiful! It applies to my books so well! It is so mournful and... well... beautiful! This is another one of my favorite Mark Swift poem!
