READER OF THE MONTH
HUMOR, HUMOR, HUMOR! That was January's theme, and one person fit the bill perfectly!
Lucy J. proved to be a rather humorous commentator throughout the month, cleverly implanting her jokes in some areas, and not overdoing it. I could really learn a lot about jokes from her. Will I, though? Nah, I like my Mark Jokes.
Anyways, congrats Lucy J.!
Next month's theme is already in place, so just keep commenting, and hopefully you'll hit the MARK! Get it? :D

POST OF THE MONTH
Post of the Month was tricky at first, but I got two suggestions: Most Viewed Post, or Cookie In New York. At first, it looked like Cookie In New York was gonna actually be the most viewed, but the Lucy's Works Blog Review shot up and beat its score in, like, 2 days, so we're safe. Lucy's Works Blog Reviews wins Post of the Month! :D Wow, Lucy J. is winning a lot this month...
Over the course of the last month, we competed in a Haiku Contest and voted for our favorite Watching Time character! Well, the winning Haiku was Marysa's "Sea Turtle" haiku! Awesome work, Marysa Writes! (And congrats on beating Lucy's win-streak!)Looking Behind
As far as Watching Time character, it was close. Like, it was a tie. The lovebirds Myra and John have tied for the win with 2 votes each! Kinda odd how that worked. Fia, Mark, and Noami each had a single vote. Ethan...poor, poor Ethan...he came in with zero votes. (Better luck next time, buddy.)
Looking Ahead
You may now vote for your Favorite Mark Swift Poem, with the options being Mark Swift's four most popular poems! Go ahead and check it out!
Also, the contest is a short story contest! Rules? It must be less than 1,000 words, and it must be appropriate for children. There is also only 1 submission per person, but if you submit something you'd prefer I not use, just submit something else. I will be using your most recent submission for your entry. The winner, and runner-up, will get their short stories featured on this blog. How is this different than just submitting your short story for publication in the Literary Submission Form? It's a contest. It's mostly just for fun.
Anyways, go forth and write!

Congrats Lucy and Mars!! I thought sea turtle was by Mark xD Nice job Mars! That was my favorite of the couple submitted there!
ReplyDeleteAwww poor Ethan, I like Ethan actually, Naomi was just a really cool character and I just had to pick her xD
And the short story contest sounds awesome!! :)
Sea Turtle is awesome -nods-
DeletePoor Ethan lol
Thanks :D
Thank you thank you
DeleteGreat job guys!
ReplyDeleteFia with only one? NOOOOOOOooooooo.....
Lol You voted Fia? Not surprising, given how relatable you'd find her XD I actually voted (yes, I am allowed to vote lol) for Myra because she was such a fun character to create!
Deletehuh. I was surprised my cookie in New York didn't win, tbh. XD
DeleteWhy? Lol Actually, I was worried it would, I didn't want you to get that much fame for nothing XD
Deleteoops. I skimmed that paragraph. I mean, YAY!
Deletegeez, I'm flattered. XD
DeleteAww, thank you everyone! Also, congrats Marysa on winning the haiku contest! That’s so awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm... There’s that phrase, “Mark Jokes” again. Lol.
Also, if I remember correctly, I voted for John, actually. It’s not that surprising that he and Myra tied, considering they’re everyone’s (and I admit, mine as well...) favorite maybe “soon to be couple.” :D
Mark Jokes are NEVER gonna go away! :D
DeleteLol Can't wait to disappoint those people who feel that way :)
Thanks lol congrats to you as well
DeleteThe ultimate twist. How was I not expecting it? :D
DeleteLol. Just as I posted my comment, I saw yours, Marysa. Thank you!
DeleteI think I'm going to enter the short story contest. I have an idea in mind for something I was going to write.
ReplyDeleteOoooh you really should, your short stories are amazing!
DeleteOops. I forgot to say congratulations. Well, congrats Lucy and Marysa. You guys deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! 😃
