True friends are hard to come by, they’re kind of rare in life
Don’t worry, give it some time, I’m sure you’ll find the one who’s just right
The type that will laugh at your not-so funny jokes
The ones who stay up late as you tell them your dreams and hopes
The type that know when you’re down or upset
The type that will help you through whatever caused it
True friends are kind, caring, and know you best
True friends are the ones who accept you when you look a mess
True friends are the ones who will tell you everything will be okay
They’re the ones you talk to nearly every day
The ones who will go completely out of their way
To make you happy when you can’t find the words to say
A best friend is someone who will be there until the end
They know when your heart needs a break and time to mend
They know because they will always be there
Through the deep, the rough, the thick, they don’t care
If you don’t have true friends, don’t worry, you will one day
You’ll have those goofy, silly, friends who will always bring a smile to your face.

ReplyDeleteI love this poem since it’s so true and it reinforces that friends can be there for you in times of happiness and need; real friends, that is. I love this poem especially with how emotional this is, along with the beautiful imagery in positive connotation. Amazing work!

Oh, I love this Gabby. Its so pretty. :) You know, I don't think I really ever had a true friend. They've always been just friends, who come and go. But, Gabby, I want you to know, I find you as a true friend to me.
