Watermelons (Poem by Mark Borne)

Healthy green watermelons, with their nice green shells.
They look so delicious, and they look so big.
On the inside they are a nice juicy red,
But they hold teacherous black seeds, so BEWARE!

Author's Note: I promised a friend I would write a watermelon poem. That was several months ago, now, and surprise! This is all I've been able to come up with.

  1. I ate watermelon, yesterday. It was juicy. But, I don't like watermelon. Your poem is good though, and describes watermelon well.

    1. I like watermelon, I just don't eat it unless it's already sliced, I won't eat it if it has black seeds, and I won't eat it if there's other fruits I like more, like strawberries, blueberries, grapes, or kiwis. In other words, I like watermelon, but I'm very picky about when I eat it lol

  2. I like this, there was a hip hop beat playing in the background on the tv so as I was reading this, it sounded like a rap or something which made it pretty humorous for me xD Anyways, awesome poem :)
