Don't tell me I can
Stop lying
I know that
I can't keep trying
With a storm cloud
Over me
If you think I'm great
Then open your
Eyes and see
Don't tell me I can do it
Because I know I can't
Don't make me feel right
When I feel like I wanna chant
Don't tell me
I can, I can
Cause I just can't
Can't do it, man
Author's Note: You can do it! Except me, I can't. :')
Mark's Addition: Says the one who wrote rhymes. I'm, like, the only person on the blog who finds it excruciating to rhyme.

I'm not sure if anyone else can see it or if it's only on my end, but I'm seeing a giant white box at the bottom of the post, before the labels are presented
ReplyDeleteNope, I see it. But I thought this was my phone
DeleteHuh. It's not your phone, apparently
DeleteMaybe it's blogger
Delete-nods- Yep...blame blogger! xD
DeleteBetter yet: Kyra Did IT
DeleteSounds about right
DeleteAnyways, I figured out whatever Kyra did to it -cough totally not my fault after all cough- and fixed it
DeleteWow, totally true. 🤣
DeleteI HAVE to rhyme if I wan to feel right about a poem for the most part, so I can relate!
ReplyDeleteI love the short lines! I makes the thoughts seem fragmented, broken, and mournful, like the person the poem is referring to. at least, that's my interpretation. XD
ReplyDeleteI saw the white rectangle on one of my devices, but not this one.
Prob because I fixed it earlier, so when you came to this device, the glitch was gone -shrug-
DeleteI dont see any white lines but just wanted to say to whoever wrote this, don't underestimate yourself! Honestly, I've done it a million times and when you fall into the 'I can't do this' mindset, it makes like ten times harder than it needs to be. Whatever you're facing, just remember if you put your mind to it, you can absolutely do it and it's not just you who feels that way. And I'm sorry, I went against the whole poem by saying you can when you specifically said 'don't tell me I can' but.... xD I had to say something semi inspirational! Anyways, I hope it all works out and you can succeed at whatever challenge you're facing :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, the poem itself is awesome. I love the short, simplistic lines and how it's in two sections. It's relatable and I love the rhyme scheme! Good job :)
A white box, but as I said, I took care of the issue
