Where The Marigolds Grow (Song Excerpt by J. Karas)

You, my dear society, Judge my every move. I’m a freak, I’m stupid. Everything you disapprove. I don’t want to be mindless. A slave, one of the crowd. But you won’t stop until my eyes are lifeless. My dreams live where the Marigolds grow, And my soul follows strong in suit. I think they’re too far gone now. Try as I might I won’t get them back. But I don’t want to give up this fight. I don’t want to give you the satisfaction. And so my future i’ll continue to write.
